Arewa Consultative Forum ,ACF, has described the Emir of Ilorin, retired Justice Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari as a symbol of unity, progress and development in the North and Nigeria at large.
A statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Prof. Tanko Baba, yesterday in Kaduna, said the forum celebrated the highly revered traditional ruler on the occasion of his 85th birthday.
The Forum further said that Gambari’s outstanding contributions to the judiciary, traditional institution, and nation-building were unquantifiable.
“Justice Gambari, served with distinction in Nigeria’s judiciary, his pivotal role in the establishment of the ACF, as steering committee chairman is acknowledged”, Baba said.
According to him, Gambari’s leadership has shaped the forum into a powerful platform for articulating and defending the collective interests of Northern Nigeria.
“The Emir belongs to a rare breed of fathers who have given their all to the people.
“He remains an exemplar in service to humanity and a model worthy of emulation by those in positions of power and influence”, Baba added.
The ACF scribe also lauded the emir’s humility, dignity, and unyielding commitment to peaceful coexistence, tolerance, and development especially in challenging times.
“As a royal father, he has remained a point of reference, steadfast in promoting harmony and national unity. At 85, we are grateful to God for his life and legacy”, Baba said .
He added, “The ACF extends its heartfelt wishes for continued good health and many more impactful years to the emir in the service of Nigeria and humanity”.
