Four persons, including three aides of the Caretaker Chairman of Kabba Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State, Zacchaeus Michael, have regained freedom from their abductors.
It would be recalled that the caretaker chairman alongside his three aides and others were kidnapped two weeks ago at Okene/Kabba road in Kogi State.
The chairman, however, was released few hours later due to ill health.
It was learnt that the three aides are Omonisaiye Andrew, Olorundare Ojo and Sunday.
Speaking to newsmen yesterday, the caretaker chairman expressed appreciation to God for the release of the abducted persons, pointing out that what the enemy had thought would be used to end his life has become a testimony.
“I want to express my profound gratitude to the Kogi State governor for the swiftness in ensuring that those abducted were released unhurt. I also want to express my appreciation to the good people of Kabba Bunu, Kogi State and Nigeria in general for their prayers that led to the successful release of those abducted,” he noted.
He commended men of the Nigerian Army, Police, Department of State Services and local hunters for their courage and bravery that led to their rescue.
