Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas has announced the establishment of four new institutions in his home town, Zaria, Kaduna State.

The speaker, who disclosed this while addressing executive members of Zaria Educational and Development Association, ZEDA, in Zaria, yesterday, also revealed the four new establishments to include the Federal College of Education, a state-of-the-art college of health sciences and the National Open University campus, as well as the College of Legal Studies.

He said the new institutions would not only enhance Zaria’s educational infrastructure, but also provide critical resources for the North-Central region.

The speaker also highlighted some major ongoing work in primary and secondary schools.

Speaking about the 2025 budget, Abbas said “this is the time to let us know what you require, particularly now that the budget is on its way. We are ready to intervene and assist where we can.

“Anything that you can possibly think as a factor that can promote or escalate development, I think we have been able to integrate that into the projects that we have brought together.”
