50 Trapped At Mining Site In Niger

Fifty miners were reportedly trapped at a mining site in Niger State. 

The incident occurred after a torrential rainfall on Sunday in Galkogo community, Shiroro Local Government Area.

It was learnt that the site belongs to a mining company, African Minerals and Logistics Limited.

A reliable source told newsmen that one person has already been confirmed dead, while six others sustained various degrees of injuries.

Meanwhile, an excavator has already been sent to the area for rescue operations.
