The people of Yakurr nation, across 13 council wards have unanimously backed Senator Eteng Jonah Williams for a second term, praising his effective representation and transformative leadership.
Senator Williams is receiving endorsements for his 2027 senatorial ambition, particularly from Ikom Township and Yakurr nation.
According to a report from the Central Progressive Initiative for Senator Eteng Jonah for 2027, these achievements have earned him recognition and support from his constituents, who believe his leadership has brought significant development to Cross River Central.
The report reads, “do not be deceived by social media rants. Let no whisper, no backdoor rumour, nor any politically engineered falsehood shake this unyielding truth. Senator Eteng Jonah Williams is a man dearly and deeply loved by his people.
“I stood witness, I witnessed it with my own eyes yesterday at the Central Progressive Initiative (CPI) event. What unfolded was nothing short of a political homecoming, a thunderstorm of cheers, and a stampede of love. The atmosphere was electric, supercharged with the energy of thousands who came not out of obligation, but out of devotion. If anyone still doubts the affection the people have for the *Distinguished Senator Eteng Jonah Williams, they need only recall the sights and sounds of that unforgettable day”.
According to the report, “the very moment he arrived, the air changed. There was no mistaking it: the people of the Central rose to receive their own.
