2023: Benue Governorship Hopeful, Akase,  Takes Consultation To Community

Governorship hopeful in Benue State on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in the 2023 general elections, Mr. Terver Akase, has assured Jerchira people that as a son of the soil, he would make them and the entire Benue people proud as governor, if elected.

Mr. Akase, who was speaking during a consultative visit to members of the Jerchira gubernortorial movement to seek their support said he would leverage on his experience as chief press secretary to Governor Samuel Ortom, an opportunity that has availed him the privilege to know the challenges of people of the state in order to work towards proffering solutions.

According to the governorship hopeful who is also the immediate past chief press secretary to the Benue Governor, his administration would focus on security of lives and property as well as ensure that those who have been displaced by Fulani herdsmen and are currently living in IDP camp’s across the state go back to their ancestral homes, create jobs for the teaming graduates roaming about the streets and boost agriculture which is the main occupation of the Benue people.

Mr. Akase who promised to carry every body along in the scheme of things during his reign as Governor as well as design programs that would help improve the living standard of women, children, the aged, orphans and the vulnerable in the society called on Benue people to support his Governorship aspiration to victory, promising that Benue will witness unpresidented development with him as Governor.

Responding on behalf of the movement, Chairman of the group engineer Tachia Jooji, commended Mr. Akase, for taking a bold step by coming out to contest for the state number one top job.

He told the Governorship aspirant and his delegation that their mandate was to lobby the people of the state to ensure that the next Governor of the state was from the area, and further informed him that his name was already included boldly on the list of aspirants from the area and assured him of their support.In separate remarks, Elder Edward Ujege, Ukor Ayem and Prof Grace Igbabur,all attested to the good works of Mr. Akase, his capacity to deliver on every given assignment as well as his humble disposition in dealing with people. 

The elders also pray God to grant the aspirant the needed strength and enablement to prosecute his political journey to success.
