REVEALED: Buhari’s 4-week schedule on his return from London

By Yemi Esho, Abuja

Barring unforeseen circumstances, President Muhammadu Buhari is expected to breeze into the country next week, AljazirahNigeria investigation reveals

There have been mixed feelings about the health of the Mr President who left the country to London on medical vacation since 7th may, 2017.

While the opposition, specifically the Ekiti State governor, Ayo Fayose who is also the chairman of the PDP Governors Forum has been hard on the president insisting he is on life support with the threat to publish “11 damaging pictures of the president”, the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) has been diplomatic in information management of its leader.

AljazirahNigeria recall that acting President Yemi Osinbajo who has been holding forth for his principal was at the London hospital few weeks back. He told Nigerians that the President is recuperating fast and will soon be in the country. The national leader of the APC and Osinbajo’s godfather, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu during a condolence visit to the widow of the late Danmansani Kano, the late Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Sule corroborated Osinbajo’s statement when he said, “Although I am not the spokesperson of the president and I am also not in the presidential team, the president is healing very fast and God willing, he is coming back very soon”.

Some section of Nigerians believe that the duo is speaking the truth because while Osinbajo is a pastor and Christian leader, Tinubu has always frank and firm in his utterances.

AljazirahNigeria reliably gathered that plans have been concluded to bring the president back to the country before the end of the month. Those who are close to the corridors of power reported that the ‘unseen cabals’ want the president to beat the 90 days absence, and meet with leadership of the National Assembly on how to amicably settle the constant rifts between the two arms of government.

There are also fears that with the Supreme Court judgment which laid to rest the leadership tussle in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) between Senators Ahmed Makarfi and Ali Modu Sheriff, Nigerians may likely pitch their tent with the PDP in 2019 by voting for the party massively. The PDP has been meeting with the promise to ‘change the change’ and this has sent down jitters down the spine of the APC as far as the 2019 general election is concerned.

AljazirahNigeria investigation reveals that President Muhammadu Buhari has been scheduled to meet stakeholders on his government’s policy direction, and how to navigate the country out of the recent political doldrums and economic stagnation.

The President is also expected to calm fray nerves and address once and for all the issue bothering on armed herdsmen who have become constant terror to nearly all parts of the country.

He will not only pass a vote of confidence on the Acting President Yemi Osinbajo but also on the military for their professionalism while he was away and the absolute support given to Osinbajo to discharge his duties effectively without fear or favour.
