ECWA Church Pegs Holy Communion on PVC

To ensure effective participation in the 2019 general elections,  the pastor in charge of the Evangelical Church of West Africa,  ECWA Fellowship,  New Karu,  Nasarawa state,  Rev. Edward Tse, has pegged the taking of holy communion on the obtainable of the Permanent Voter’s Card, PVC.
Rev. Tse who stated this in his Sunday sermon, warned that though, Jesus Chris remains the only party known to the church,  the obtainance of the PVC by members was imperative if they are to Excercise their franchise in 2019.
He said: “I am not a politician and doesn’t belong to any political association,  however,  we owe you a responsibility to guide and encourage participation. Go to Mararaba and obtain your PVCs to qualify you to vote in 2019.”
Adding,  the ECWA clergy, said, “We will do everything possible if it means with holding your communion to ensure compliance ”
The pastor though, cautioned that the church remains non partisan,  adding that Jesus is the head of the church.
INEC, has fixed the 2019 gubernatorial and presidential elections for February 2019 respectively with political parties scheduling their national conventions late 2017 and primaries middle of 2018.
Aljazirah Nigeria exclusively gathered that Karu, Nasarawa State where the pastor preaches is eager to produce a governor of Christian extraction with two major opposition parties, The People’s Democratic Party, PDP and the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA,  each zoning it flagbearer to the Christian dominated Akwanga zone of the state.
The ruling APC parades ninety percent of her aspirants from Keffi zone and are all Muslims.
