BY JONATHANIPAA,  ABUJA
Following Aljazirah Nigeria news report on the Nasarawa killings, the Department of State Security Services, Tuesday, invited former minister of information, Hon. Labaran Maku to Lafia for questioning.
Hon. Maku who is the National Secretary of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, had in the news report, accused the Nasarawa state government of masterminding the ongoing killings of Tivs in the state.
He said the barbaric killings were politically motivated and called on President Muhammadu Buhari to halt it and bring the killer herdsmen to book.
But rather than heed to the former minister’s wise counsel,  The DSS, invited him for questioning in their Lafia state command for interrogation Tuesday afternoon.
Hon. Labaran Maku was at the DSS office at exactly 2 pm after leaving the party secretariat. He was accompanied in by 34 Lawyers with 13 indigenous tribe Youths president of Nasarawa State.
He spends precisely 15min with the DSS boss, and he was asked to take a leave.
The DSS Boss confirmed that Maku is a law-abiding citizen for honoring their invitation.
Aljazirah Nigeria however,  gathered that the presence of 34 SANs accompanied by aggrieved youth leaders might have jettisoned the operatives’ initial plan.
The invitation which was leaked to supporters,  had generated a huge sympathy from other ethnic nationalities and political parties across the state.
Maku has being the major opposition figure since the 2015 gubernatorial election in which his supporters believe he was rigged out by the APC for Governor Tanko Al-makura.
